![]() ![]() I’m using WordPress, so my example queries are global $wpdb // If this is not done in the function yet Stick a placeholder query in the codebase. If MySQL does not start, there’s something wrong with the config file (wrong syntax, etc). If the latter does not exist, the content of the file above should be ![]() You should see two things there: general_log and general_log_file. ![]() If it doesn’t have that header, add the header and the directive to the end of the file, and save it.įire up an SQL window, and run this: SHOW VARIABLES If the file is not empty, find the header, and add the general_log directive there (or flip it on by using 1 or ON as values). If the file is empty, this should be the only content: $ touch /Applications/MAMP/conf/my.cnf & subl /Applications/MAMP/conf/my.cnf The sad thing is that if it’s a fresh install, MAMP will not have that file, anywhere. We have to add a directive to the my.cnf file for MySQL to read and interpret.
